- March 6, 2026 : Deadline for submission of abstracts
The 30th Ibero-American Congress on Catalysis (CICat 2026)organized by the Catalysis and Adsorption Division of the Chilean Chemical Society (SCHQ) and the Ibero-American Federation of Catalysis Societies (FiSoCat), will take place from September 6 to 11, 2026, at the event center of the Hotel Club La Serena, located in the city of La Serena, Chile.
In this new edition, the congress will feature distinguished participation from top national and international guests under the theme Driving sustainability through catalysis, highlighting the fundamental role of catalytic science in addressing environmental challenges and transitioning toward a more sustainable future, promoting the decarbonization of the energy matrix by harnessing the potential of renewable energies and natural resources native to our Ibero-American region.
On this occasion, advances in various thematic areas will be presented, including:
- Fundamental aspects of catalysis
- Catalysis to improve the environment and quality of life
- Catalysis in the face of industrial and social challenges
- Specific applications of catalysis
