Paloma Santos-Moriano, from the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry (ICP-CSIC), member of SECAT, has been awarded the CINFA Award 2014 sponsored by theRoyal National Academy of Pharmacy, The award-winning work is entitled "Enzymatic synthesis of fructooligosaccharides stimulating the colonic microbiota" . The co-authors of this research are the researchers Lucía Fernández-Arrojo, Bárbara Rodríguez-Colinas, Antonio Ballesteros and Francisco J. Plou, together with the award-winning member, members of theApplied Biocatalysis Groupof the ICP-CSIC.
The awards ceremony took place on 22 January 2015 at the headquarters of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy in Madrid.
