BIOCTANE_Synergetic integration of biotechnology and thermochemical catalysis for the cascade conversion of organic waste to jet-fuel
Chemical and Environmental Engineering research group at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid is recruiting one post-doc position to be involved in the activities of the BIOCTANE project.

Candidate requirements:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (preferable but not mandatory)
- Research experience in the synthesis and characterization of catalysts
- Research experience in chemical valorisation of biomass towards biofuels and highly-added value products (in special in HDO reactions)
- Post-doctoral experience in research laboratories
- Participation in international projects (preferable but not mandatory)
- English language fluently
Activities:
- Coordination and supervision of project activities regarding to the preparation of catalysts and their catalytic assessment.
- Set-up of analytical procedures and catalyst characterization.
- Control of material and equipment, including order management and receipt of materials.
- Preparation of scientific-technical reports for the justification of the project.
- Proposal and preparation of scientific communications of various kinds: articles, communications to congresses, news, webcasts, etc.
- Co-supervision of PhD students (in collaboration with the Thesis Supervisors), as well as supervision of Bachelor and Master students in works related to the BIOCTANE project.
- Communication activities with the consortium.
Contract:
- Monthly gross salary: 3.100 € (12 instalments per year)
- Duration: 16 months
- Estimated starting date: 01/01/2025
- Timetable: Full time job (37.5 hours per week).
