Contract for doctoral thesis at "Synthesis and application of multifunctional catalysts"
The Catalyst Molecular Design Group of the ITQ INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY (UPV-CSIC), Valencia, offers a 4-year research contract to carry out a doctoral thesis focused on the synthesis of multifunctional catalysts and their application in processes of industrial interest such as the revaluation of methane and light alkanes or the control of greenhouse gas emissions.
The candidate will carry out his/her thesis in a multidisciplinary environment that includes essential aspects of organic and inorganic synthesis and catalysis, and for this he/she will have access to "high-throuhgput" techniques of materials synthesis, characterization and catalytic reactors.
Requirements:
Have a Master's Degree in the area of Chemistry (Theoretical Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry, Materials Science, etc.), or be enrolled or admitted to a doctoral programme for the 2022/2023 academic year or, not being enrolled or admitted to a doctoral programme, be in a position to be so on the date on which the contract is formalised.
Good written and oral communication skills in English, motivation and ability to work in a team will be an asset.
