Juan Ramon Gonzalez Velasco, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country, has been awarded the 2020 Chemical Excellence Award from the General Council of Official Colleges of Chemists of Spain. This Award recognises the merits of Juan Ramón González Velasco throughout his long life as a teacher, scientist and researcher, as well as for his excellent personal qualities. The Award recognises his determined work in support of the chemical profession and his work in supporting the transfer of talent in the field of chemistry to the business sector.
