Javier García Martínez, of the University of Alicante has been awarded the Foundation Award King James I of New Technologies 2014 sponsored by the City Council of Valencia. The jury of the King Jaime I Award in New Technologies has highlighted his pioneering work in the area of mesoporous zeolites, used for oil transformation, in which he has managed to increase the size of the pores in a way that allows the production of gasoline in current catalysts.
