The Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of Concepción (Chile) has awarded our colleague José Luis García Fierro the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa for his highly meritorious and innovative contributions to the development of physico-chemistry and world catalysis and, in particular, for the benefit of the University of Concepción through a rich collaboration with the Catalysis Group of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences.
