Avelino Corma, Prince of Asturias Award for Science along with Mark E. Davis and Galen D. Stucky

Three great pioneers of Chemical Engineering, the Spaniard Avelino Corma and his American colleagues Mark E. Davis and Galen D. Stucky, have won the Prince of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research. The jury has decided to award them this recognition for their entire career, for "their extraordinary contributions to the development of materials Microporous and macroporous and its practical applications."

"The three researchers have made remarkable contributions to the design and methods of synthesis of these materials, to the study of their properties and to the development of its applications in a wide range of fields", says the minutes of the jury meeting in Oviedo.
