Dear SECAT Members,
As you know, we have currently launched a blog and we encourage you to participate by showing the latest research, references to scientific advances, recognition of SECAT Members as relevant researchers in our field or to keep society informed with those events in which SECAT may be involved in some way. We believe that it is an opportunity to make information of interest available to everyone and that serves as a channel for the dissemination of SECAT.
As a reference and as a stimulus or as an appetizer, I add two very recent reviews of Members of the Society who have been recognized with some distinction or recognition.
Thus, on January 11, 2013, Professor Dr. Avelino Corma was awarded an honorary doctorate by the TU Delft. The laudatio it was made by Prof. Freek Kapteijn and Dr. Jorge Gascón acted as godfather. Prof. Kapteijn indicated that "Avelino Corma es one of the scientists of our times... through its work that it's a Role model for the younger generations." We give more sincere congratulations to Prof. Corma for such a distinction.
